PROBLEM:
This construction company was experiencing many of the common issues associated with “dirty power”. Transients inside and outside of their facility were causing VFDs to constantly trip out and pre-mature equipment failure which just added to the already endless maintenance and downtime costs. Most importantly, this customer was getting charged a costly power factor penalty from their utility company due to their inefficient electrical system.
